Some REALLY good deals!

For those of you Memphians who are looking for a great deal head over to the Michaels by the Wolfchase Mall! I went last night and discovered they were having a Spring grab bag event. I had my eye on some clearance frames a couple of weeks ago, that I thought were a good price then at $5 a frame. Normally they were $35. But my gut told me to hold off and keep looking (how cheap am I!) and when I went back on Monday I ended up paying $1 a piece! So I got $350 dollars worth of frames for $8.00!!! These are the moments when I know my frugalness is really paying off! I also got some great scrapbook paper from this event for ultra cheap!

My other fantastic find was at ToysRUs, believe it or not! They have been having an extra 25% off of their already low clearance prices and there were some really good deals! (I don't know if this promotion is still going on--but it doesn't hurt to check!) I signed up for the ToysRus email ages ago, and sometimes they send me some pretty sweet coupons. Last week they sent me one for $5 off any purchase. So pretty much, $5 for free! So, I was looking around and found a game that was originally $50, was on clearance for $10 and with the extra 25% off was only $7.50. So I used my coupon and ended up only paying less than $3 out of pocket. Not too shabby!

Anyways, long story short, make sure you sign up for emails from stores you visit frequently. You never know how it might pay off. Sometimes it's an extra percentage off coupon, sometimes it's almost like free money (as mentioned above!).

Don't be afraid to search for a good deal! If you are looking for something specific, find out by asking at the stores you are looking in when they mark their items down each week. (For example, Target usually does this on Tuesdays) If you don't need an item right away, do a little research! It definitely pays off in the end!!!
